The Alabama Trust for Historic Preservation's Spring Lyceum, the second in the 2011 series,will focus on the historic trails and byways ofAlabama. Fearing the extinction of historic roads and pathways that connected early Alabama settlements, the Alabama Trust for Historic Preservation and Alabama Historical Commission named the Old Federal Road to the 2010 Places in Peril list. Join the AlabamaTrust in Monroe County to explore and travel the remnants of this historic highway, learn more about proposed historic and scenic byways in Alabama and tour Monroeville’s historic courthouse, businesses and neighborhoods.
