Join us for the fourth annual Sucarnochee BBQ and Blues Cook-off in Livingston, Alabama, a great event with an $8,250 payout! A Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned competition, the cook-off is featured on the prestigious Alabama Championship Barbecue Trail.
Enjoy Friday evening’s festive atmosphere, sit around a campfire and listen to a live band! On Saturday, wow our panel of KCBS certified judges in all four meat categories for cash premiums through 5th place. A Backyard Division, sauce contest and dessert competition add to the fun.
Sponsored by the University of West Alabama’s Center for the Study of the Black Belt and the City of Livingston, the cook-off will be held on the UWA campus. Livingston is approximately 17 miles from the Mississippi state line.
This cook-off is sure to become a favorite competition. Mark your calendar for the Sucarnochee BBQ and Blues Cook-off, held yearly, now on the first weekend in November.
