Info: Our four day event kicks off with the lighting of the Love Light Tree and announcement of the Special Child at Bryan W Whitfield Memorial Hospital on Wednesday. Thursday our city officials will light Public Square beginning at 5:30pm followed by the reading of the "The Christmas Story". We will also crown St. Nick, an individual in the community that has focused their energy and attention on helping children. Three antebellum homes open their doors at 5:30pm on Friday with entertainment, period decorations and light refreshments. The homes are Bluff Hall, Lyon Hall and Gaineswood and admission is $4.00 at each house. Finish the evening with a visit to the Alabama State Championship Bar-B-Q. For an entry fee of $5.00 you can enjoy the live music and watch the competitors as they are cooking and stop by our courtesy tent for a taste of BBQ. Saturday's festivities include a 5k Jingle Bell Run, our Christmas Day Parade, Fair in the Square (arts and crafts) and The Nautical Parade and fireworks show.
