Info: In conjunction with National Public Health Week, the park will commemorate National Health Improvement Week that was launched by Booker T. Washington in 1915. It was later known as National Negro Health Week. It was planned as an eight-day week with a different focus for each day of the week. The eight-day program was deliberate to begin and start on Sunday to take advantage of the church's involvement. Join us throughout the week to commemorate a milestone in health education for African Americans.
